Informationskompetenz 2.0 und das Verschwinden des Nutzers

Zum Beitrag in Netbib von Lambert Heller mit dem Titel "Die Benutzer und ihre Seiten: Begriffe aus der Informationswelt von gestern" vor gut 4 Wochen passt der Titel meines Aufsatzes "Informationskompetenz 2.0 und das Verschwinden des ‚Nutzers‘", der das Konzept Informationskompetenz kritisch hinterfragt. Der Aufsatz ist als Preprint auf der Website der Zeitschrift "Bibliothek – Forschung und Praxis" verfügbar, zusammen mit anderen Beiträgen (z.B. von Anne Christensen, Oliver Obst, Edlef Stabenau u.a.) des kommenden von Patrick Danowski und Lambert Heller herausgegebenen Sonderheftes der Zeitschrift "Bibliothek – Forschung und Praxis" zur Bibliothek 2.0 .

Fünf Thesen zur Informationskompetenz 2.0 schlagen einen Perspektivwechsel der in deutschen Bibliotheken vorherrschenden Sicht auf Informationskompetenz hin zu einem ganzheitlicheren Verständnis von Informations- und Lernprozessen vor:

  1. Informationskompetenz 2.0 umfasst ein ganzheitliches Verständnis von Informations- und Lernprozessen.
  2. Informationskompetenz 2.0 ist eine von vielen Schlüsselkompetenzen.
  3. Informationskompetenz 2.0 ist eine "Lernerfahrung".
  4. Informationskompetenz 2.0 ist im Web 2.0 ein Prozess, umfasst nicht nur Lernen mit und durch Information sondern verstärkt Lernen über Information und Wissen.
  5. Informationskompetenz-2.0-Förderung nutzt Hilfsmittel des Web 2.0.

I critically question the concept of information literacy in a (German language) paper titled "Information literacy 2.0. and the disappearance of the user" which will be published in a special issue on the library 2.0 of the journal: "Bibliothek – Forschung und Praxis" edited by Patrick Danowski and Lambert Heller. Five theses on information literacy 2.0 as well as suggestions for further reading offer the possibility to change the perspective of the view on information literacy predominating in German libraries in the direction to a more holistic view of information and learning processes.

  1. Information literacy 2.0 includes a more holistic understanding of information and learning processes.
  2. Information literacy 2.0 is one of many key competences.
  3. Information literacy 2.0 is a "learning experience".
  4. Information literacy 2.0 is a process in the Web 2.0 which includes not only learning with information but learning about information and knowledge.
  5. The promotion of information literacy 2.0 uses tools of the Web 2.0.
